A Western Australian pink everlasting (or paper daisy), wildflower. This stunning macro photograph shows a bright pink everlasting daisy opening it's petals in the morning sun. The contrasting forest-green background makes for an incredibly rich and sumptuous image.

In late winter and early spring people come from all over the world to see carpets of these beauties in the bush. 
They are delicate looking, yet robust. Their petals are light and have the feel of paper, and the bees absolutely adore them.
